Leonid Meteor Shower 2009

I went out to SUU's observatory and missed all the big meteors, but did end up with some fun shots of the sky anyways. Regardless of the images I captured, I enjoyed spending the time in silence glancing at the stars pondering bigger things. Its times like this that I appreciate getting the chance to slow down and catch up. The sky was absolutely gorgeous and mesmerizing. One of the nights highlights was when I had a chance to observe the Nebula around Jupiter. Never have I seen with my own eyes space with this much detail. It was an image that had stars glowing with a violet and yellow cloud of matter floating out there in the universe. Amazing!

Two posts below is a slide show of some of the other images I captured. Just click on View Slide Show.

First of all, you have to be a Dragon and tote wings. Halloween 2009 has come and gone and now I'm left with some pictures showing our details of boys running around getting candy, pumpkins, and just good memories. Natalie wasn't feeling so well, but pulled through and came out with us to trick or treat around the block and then to spend time at the local kids carnival. After those activities we dropped her and Brendan off and Jason and I went out for some more. I just let Jason go until he couldn't go anyMO! He had such a good time while I just followed him and tried to capture the magical evening with the Camera. Oh how I love to be able to capture the moments that click and make me so happy to be a father to such amazing boys. Halloween 2009, the year a little magic happened.

Jason Says

Grilled Cheese & Tomato Soup:

I baby sit my friend's kids on Tuesday and Thursday most weeks. Today we had grilled cheese and tomato soup for lunch.....Jason's favorite meal of all time! He can't get enough of it. Halle took one look at the tomato soup and decided she didn't like it. This is how the conversation went.

Halle: What's this?
Jason: It's grilled cheese and tomato soup, you can dip the bread in the soup if you want.
Halle: Well...I don't want it. I don't think I like that stuff. (talking about the tomato soup)
Me: You need to at least try it.
Jason: Yeah it is so yummy you can't even handle it!

Family Home Evening

Natalie and I decided to take a trip to St George to do a little shopping and spend some time around the Temple for FHE. As we approached the Temple the sun was setting and lit the sky up with the most beautiful pink cloud highlights. I was glad I had my camera and had a chance to catch such beauty. Oh how we love to see the Temple.
